Intermittent Fasting and Juicing by Melanie Procter influenced by Dr. Jason Fung
Fasting is one of the oldest dietary interventions in the world, and modern science confirms it can have a profoundly beneficial influence on your health. Dr. Jason Fung, a nephrologist (kidney specialist) with a practice in Canada, has become a specialist on the topic. Fung zeroes in on why insulin resistance has become so prevalent in our culture and why this keeps us hungry all the time. Fung has helped patients drop thousands of pounds. Fasting was practiced by ancient philosophers and religions. Weight loss is the main reason people practice IF, but it also has some health benefits. There have been reports by IF followers of decreased blood pressure, lower blood sugar levels and increased energy. Learn the different variations of fasting and juicing.
Hack Your Flow: Understanding Flow Cycles inspired by Steven Kotler
Technically, flow is defined as an “optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best.” It’s also a strange state of consciousness. In flow, concentration becomes so laser-focused that everything else falls away. Action and awareness merge. Our sense of self and our sense of self consciousness completely disappear. Time dilates, meaning it slows down (like the freeze frame of a car crash) or speeds up (and five hours pass by in five minutes). And throughout, all aspects of performance are incredibly heightened and that includes creative performance. We now know that flow works not like an on-off switch but in a four-part cycle. Understanding these cycles can help you to more often access flow. The parts of the cycle are as follows: struggle, release, flow, and recovery. To hack flow, Melanie explains Kotler theory which is ‘you have to learn to struggle better and recover better’.

Five Senses Experience Meditation
The five senses – Hearing, Seeing, Smelling, Touching, and Tasting represent our earliest sensory experiences in the world. Yet how often do we really pay attention to what these critical pathways are telling you. And how often do you activate all your senses at the same time? More often than not, your senses become dulled by the constant distractions present in modern life. You quickly disregard how powerful the five senses are, losing touch and the ability to fully perceive the wholeness of our existence. Similar to breathwork, which strengthens your ability to reconnect to the present, using the five senses in unison can help anchor and enhance mindfulness.

Fire & Ice: Steam Room & Ice-Bath
Many studies from around the world have proven that Fire & Ice concept improves heart health, circulation, and athletic endurance. When the steam room sauna is paired with a cold plunge into an ice bath, the sustained increased heart rate between two extremes essentially has huge cardio benefits. In extreme conditions, the body reduces lactic acid buildup in muscles, induces heat shock proteins and human growth hormones, and releases several other hormones like norepinephrine. The result of this regular practice on the body allows you to endure more exertion and recover faster, while lowering anxiety and sharpening focus.
